A Direct Expression of Interest

Captain Dekker is not waiting for a vacancy to be advertised. He is reaching out now — in 2026 — because the best fleet introductions are built on relationships, not reactive applications. He respectfully invites flydubai's recruitment department to review this profile and initiate contact. The conversation costs nothing. The right Captain on your B787 from day one is priceless.

Fleet Introduction Experience

More Than a Line Pilot

Experienced in developing operational systems from scratch — including paperless training and checking systems, pilot recruitment, and crew hotel and catering contract negotiations. As a Nominated LTC, Captain Dekker doesn't just fly the aircraft: he helps build the operation around it. That is precisely what flydubai's B787 programme needs from its founding Captains.

Dubai Operations

DXB · DWC · SHJ Experience

Extensive operational experience at Dubai International (DXB), Al Maktoum (DWC), and Sharjah (SHJ). Deep familiarity with UAE airspace, Emirates Group procedures, and the unique high-tempo operational environment of Dubai — the hub from which flydubai operates.

Heavy Jet Command

8,367 Hours — Widebody PIC

Over 8,300 hours on the Boeing 747-400 with 5,400 as Pilot in Command. The B787 Dreamliner shares Boeing's fly-by-wire philosophy and operational logic — an experienced Boeing heavy jet Captain transitions with confidence, competence, and credibility.

Training & Standards

Line Training Captain

Nominated LTC — experienced in building and maintaining flight crew standards. Invaluable on a new fleet where standardisation, early culture-setting and crew development determine the long-term operational quality of the entire B787 programme.

Technology Forward

Tech & AI Minded — B787 Ready

Bachelor of Engineering background with active engagement in aviation technology, EFB systems, and AI-powered tools. The B787 Dreamliner is Boeing's most technologically advanced commercial aircraft — an engineering-minded, tech-forward Captain is exactly the right fit for the type.
